Ironically, the first newspaper article written about reddit (a Boston-based startup) was in a British newspaper -- The Guardian. It was good to see that they'd gotten over the time we dumped that tea into the harbor harbour.
Here we are nine months later and they've outdone themselves by putting reddit "like" and "dislike" buttons on their op-ed blog, CommentIsFree. It turned out they were one step ahead of us Yanks (and possibly sneaking glances at our todo list) because we hadn't quite built the functionality for them to work properly.
Encouraged, Steve sat down and built the buttons, which are now available for your websites. Then, Ajay went and made a sweet Wordpress plugin for it. Thanks, Ajay!
Now if only we could apply the reddit voting and ranking system to Speakers' Corner...
